4 – AWESOME STARS

I have to say How to Lose a Bachelor by Anna Banks is probably the most fun I have had while reading in a long time and that says a lot because I love to read! This book is just fun. There are laugh out loud moments as well as moments where you might cringe but its nothing that would turn you off from reading.

Rochelle Ransom is a lawyer as well as the President of Helping Hands which is a charity that help women with domestic abuse. She doesn’t have time for a social life. She eats and breathes her work which barely leaves her any time to sleep. When the opportunity comes up to be a contestant on a television show to woo a bachelor and win a hefty amount of money that she can put toward Helping Hands she jumps right in. Unfortunately, she didn’t know the bachelor is her ex-boyfriend, Grant Drake. Now, she’ll do ANYTHING to be voted off the show.

Grant is the new bachelor on a reality TV show, Luring Love, and sees the Rochelle for the first time in 10 years. The first thought he had was revenge for breaking his heart but as the book goes on it all changes. Rochelle is making a fool of herself and Grant is willing to put his heart on the line to win her back.

Reading this book was like watching actually happen on TV. The antics of Rochelle were hilarious and sometimes I did wonder why Grant was holding out for her. I thought the story was unique and engaging and the author did a great job of flowing the duo POVs together. Most of all, I absolutely loved watching the strong hate that these two characters had toward one another slowly turn into love because you know what they say, there is only a thin line between love and hate!
