**ARC provided in exchange for an honest review** 5 stars.

The first in what I hope to be a long series. Showing promise for more unexpected turns. Not your normal paranormal novel and quite refreshing.

Alasdair Kyriakios is one of the strongest vampires alive. Knowing his limits and testing them when it comes to his hunger– both hungers, is something he has done to be able to pride himself on his self control. Vasilios claimed him as his first-sired. That’s a very big deal in the vampire world. Vasilios, one of three Ancient vampires, captured Alasdair with the thrill of his chase. Is that what draws Alasdair to the new human? Why is it this human that seems to make Alasdair lose his control? What is it about him that makes him irresistible? What is it that can incapacitate him from this humans blood?

Leonidas Chapel has no idea of the reason behind his recurring dream. When he wakes up from a nightmare to be living in one he wants answers. The o e holding him is attractive though. Maddeningly so. Alasdair is the man from his nightmare and soon Leo realizes it wasn’t just a dream. His fascination grows when strange things begin to happen. There just isn’t any sense to make of the fact that whenever Leo and Alasdair kiss Leo is pulled into flashbacks of Alasdair’s life.

Vasilios and the other ancients received a threat against their first sired, and it is not taken lightly. Alasdair and his cousins want answer and Alasdair believes Leo can give them. What no one counts on is Isadora being taken and Thanos being hurt so badly.

Can Alasdair find the answers he searches for with Leo. Will Vasilios take away his yielding? Will they ever find out who and what Leonidas Chaple really is? Find out in this page burner of a story. Definitely written well and in a way that reaches and grabs your mind without letting go until you have finished the story entirely! I can not wait for more of this incredible series.
