Bitter Sweet Love by R .C. Stephens

This book is an emotional roller coaster ride! Alexis White is a high school girl who has a tough childhood, she and her sister are abused buy the only parent they have. She never knows if it is safe to go home. They live in constant fear.

Dylan Priestley is the first boy to know Alexis and has found out by accident her horror story. Dylan and his family live next door and he helps patch her up after one of the long nights of abuse. He is her first love. She begins to see Dylan as her knight in shining armor, until one of the most important nights in a high school girl’s life changes everything.

Alexis leaves town to try to start over where no one knows her or her story. College is the best place to hide. She works at a local bar and parties with her best friend and roommate. The two of them go to all the frat parties they can. Soon Alexis is making really bad choices. The only rule Alexis has is to not sleep with the same guy more than a couple of times and definitely no relationship.

It is seven years since she has seen or heard from Dylan, but he is constantly on her mind. She knows that she needs to move on. Dylan has reappeared and wants to fix their broken relationship, but Alexis can’t get past the broken heart he left her with.

A very good looking French man come into the bar one night and he instantly wants Alexis. Luc, comes across to be a gentlemen and is kind to Alexis. She starts to realize he has secrets of his own and wants to help him. Everyone keeps warning Alexis about Luc but she doesn’t want to listen and blows off the warnings. A trip seem to be the perfect solution for Alexis to get Dylan off her mind, but then a major events slams Alexis with the truth. Her new husband is trouble and she is now in danger. Read this book to find out all the events and happenings in Alexis’s love triangle of a life.

R. C. Stephens captivated me from the start. Her writing moves at a fast pace and I didn’t want to put it down. I would highly recommend this book!! Five Stars!!
